On Friday 4/1, SEBS alums Dr. Talia Young and Dr. Jennifer Walker brought a group of undergraduate students from Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges (in PA) plus staff from the Fishadelphia Community Seafood Program to visit the Rutgers University Marine Field Station (RUMFS) in Tuckerton. The visitors toured, learned about Autonomous Underwater Vehicles, Long Term Ichthyoplankton sampling, took some cores, and then got to go seine/plankton net fishing in Little Egg Harbor, where they caught silversides (Menidia menidia) and larval summer flounder (Paralichthys dentatus). Check out a video of their visit on Fishadelphia Instagram and Facebook.
